Easy commuting to Frederick, Westminster, Mount Saint Mary's College, McDaniel College, and only 15 minutes south of Gettysburg. Emmitsburg allows for easy access to suburbia Washington and Baltimore.  Moving north along the Route 15, Emmitsburg is the next suburban concentration after Frederick, Maryland. This area is a young and developing community. In fact, many of the area homebuilders are identifying the beautiful countryside and either started communities or have begun the process of doing so.

The City of Emmitsburg has been in the process of re-establishing the "Olde Town" as an historic district.  A city historic area has been formed to preserve the unique history of Emmitsburg.  This property is included in this effort and is located in the designated 'historic district'.
